Choose another microphone from the microphone selection list and try the audio test again. If you do not see a microphone listed, this means your computer does not have an internal microphone and you do not have another mic plugged in.

This might sound obvious, but sometimes your headphones have a mute button for the microphone. If yours do, try clicking the mute button to see if they unmute.
